Sodium picosulpfate syrup 5 mg

It is laxative which helps in causing large amount of water enteres into the intestine in order to clean the intestine in order to examine the intestine by the colon which becomes easy after this.

It causes watery movement in the intestine which is diarrhoea.

Dosage

Oral – constipation

Child- 1–4-month 0.25 mg/kg

4-10 years- 2.5-5 mg/kg

Adult -5 mg/kg

Always consume medication at night.

Oral – bowel evacuation

4-10 years- 0.25-5 mg/kg

Adult -5 mg/kg

How to consume Sodium picosulpfate syrup 5 mg?

This medication may come in packets or mixed with as a syrup but procedure will be same like others.

Carefully read the instruction on the label and as per doctor recommendation it should be use.

If the person is using as a powder then mix well this powder in the cold water and drink in first dose person have to drink five full glasses whereas second dose person have to drink 3 glasses before the procedure.

After 2 hours medication shows the result and all the excess can be excreted out after that. Watery bowel movement is the main symptom.

Precautions while using Sodium picosulpfate syrup 5 mg

• Do not use this medication after 14 days.
• Shake it well before use.
• Always take this medication at night.
• With or without meal.
